Fresh mango is the fruit that lives up to the promise to which the tinned peach slices of childhood failed.

I tend to get the remaindered off mangoes when they are nice and soft. They won't keep but they are juicy.
I remember tinned tangerines from my childhood.

I see your grapefruit, and counter with tinned fruit salad.
On the other hand, tinned prunes are better than untinned.

Ooh, tinned fruit salad: tasteless half cherries and those strange mini grapes.
I agree about the prunes.

We'll all be there, so who knows? I'm dreading finding anything/anyone in its hugeness.

Having read how many people are going, I think I have made the right decision in staying at home.
