The Joys of Spring?

You know it's spring when the cries of another battle over the running of Formula 1 ring out around the globe. Is it really almost time for the 2003 season? Time zips by, if the obvious analogy is pardonable, like Schumi's Ferrari.

And after spring, summer, when the sounds of English defeat on the cricket field--oops! that's happened already. England's cricketers can manage that any time of the year.

Well, we've had crocuses out in our wind-blasted raised bed for a week now. That's uncontroversial enough.

Oooh, crocuses! I'm jealous. Mine would need little jackhammers to break through the ice, if they wanted to show their heads anytime soon.

One relatively warm week and they were up. White ones, which do tend to be earlier and hardier.
