Rip...

and R.I.P.

That's the end of my leather jacket--just short of its tenth anniversary. Not bad for a coat I've worn most days between October and April (or May) for almost a decade. Still, there's rather a lot of winter to go and I don't want to wear my best, and rather impractical, coat every day and my fleeces and jacket aren't all that warm.

Can I get away with resurrecting (or retrieving from under a cat) my big black shawl--companion, cushion and occasional bedcover for nearly 25 years. (M&S acrylic just won't wear out.)
