Bed of Nails

Sharp, shining, metallic: rubbed iron with a dry wooden base.
It's a big scent when sniffed from the bottle, makes the nose feel as if it's expanding, opens up the sinuses. There's a definite warmly ferrous aroma here, although warm iron does have an affinity with blood: I'd not wear this at night for fear of attracting the attention of any blood suckers in the neighbourhood. If I said the iron and the tube-expanding effect make it a little like the aftermath of a nosebleed, you'd take this as a bad sign? No? Well, it's wonderfully decongesting.
And, yes, there's wood underneath it, also warming.
It's a peculiar scent, maybe more masculine than feminine, but not so obviously as Hall of Mirrors. It lingers.
Very bracing; tangy and woodsy; a forest by briny waves on a cold winter's day.
