Finally, due to my forgetting my pattern for my socks (the greys in the first image), I just had to make Knitty's Real Stocking Cap for M's upcoming ski trip:


I'm proud of the speed of production--started on Xmas Eve and finished before the end of Boxing Day (M's birthday)--and the fact he'll wear it (and did so while loading the car in the snow).
