Oh Well, We Tried, and Buffy Lost

Having missed it on Sky, we thought we'd just watch Buffy the Musical to get up to speed with all those cultural references we'd been missing. The early evening terrestrial broadcast's no good, being round about Looby Loo's bedtime on an evening when the ravens fly the nest, so the late night repeat it was. And in the meantime, since our eyes are still too sore to read for long, we watched a documentary about a Norwegian Male Voice Choir and, well, it won: we didn't turn over, except for the first minute or so, and the very last scene (which was conveniently after the choir had sung its last notes). No contest. We'd be hard pushed to believe that anything that Buffy could throw at us would be half as moving. Next time Buffy's repeated we ought to make the effort, just to get a proper comparison, but we wouldn't bet on it.
[Nothing like a reformed addict, eh?]
