muninnhuginnDecided I'd finally get round to getting the laptop to dual-boot. With Peppermint 6 to go on the non-Windoze side.
After a series of mishaps, I have Mint/Cinnamon on the laptop. No Windoze. I'm not that worried by that, but there was a nasty little while where I had no way of booting into... anything. (I was very tempted by OpenSUSE, so a second partition may now happen without the Windows horrors.)
Problems: cat walking on keyboard; UEFI; Grub failing to copy from USB stick to hard disk; cat on keyboard....
Benefits: my desk is tidied, dusted; the bookcase by the bedroom door is washed, dusted, sorted out; and a pile of books is ready to go to charity.
